Basement Flooding?
During heavy rainfall the sewer systems can fill up and cause back flow in foul drains. A large volume of water can flow back into basements and other low-lying bathrooms in a short period of time causing problems like overflowing toilets.
Do small animals get into your pipes?
The open outlet of a pipe into the natural environment allows insects, amphibians and small animals to enter. The backflow protection with frog flap function of Stop Silent SL13® (formerly Light) prevents such animals from entering.
Bad Smell
The smell of duct gases is unpleasant and unnecessary. Air or gases in pipes start to move at low temperature differences, the so-called chimney effect. The installation of a Stop Silent SL13® (formerly Light) backflow preventer makes the movement of sewer gases impossible and there is no longer a smell.
Street Flooding
Flood walls can prevent street flooding but sometimes the road gullies are still connected to water bodies that allow back flow through the street drainage system. Installation of Stop Silent Light check valves on these gully connections prevent this back flow and ensure that the roads are not flooded.
Inline check-valve for waste water applications
The Stop Silent SL13® (formerly Light) backflow preventer is the reliable backflow protection for use in wastewater technology. This airtight flap is designed, for example, for sewage and rainwater with a back pressure of up to 0.5 bar. The high-quality backflow protection is also ideal as a frog flap for quick and easy installation in private and industrial wastewater applications. Furthermore, the backflow preventer for sewage pipes is characterized by quick and force-fit clamping inside the pipe.
Our check-valve: Functionality
By accumulating water up to approximately pipe filling, pressure is exerted on the diaphragm, which then opens upwards. If the flow stops, the sealing lip restores and closes the valve. In back pressure, the rubber membrane is filled and pressed against the pipe wall.
