Advantages of the backwater valves Stop Silent Light!

  • Protection against backflow due to flooding and storms
  • Protection against infiltration of insects and amphibians into the pipes
  • Prevention of odour nuisances from the sewer network (anti-odour valve)
  • Quick and easy installation (can be installed in both direction)
Basement Flooding?
During heavy rainfall the sewer systems can fill up and cause back flow in foul drains. A large volume of water can flow back into basements and other low-lying bathrooms in a short period of time causing problems like overflowing toilets.
more information
Do small animals get into your pipes?
The open outlet of a pipeline into nature allows the ingress of insects, amphibians, birds and rodents into the drainage system. This can cause various problems upstream.
more information
Bad Smell
The stench of sewer gases is unpleasant. Air or gases in the pipeline start to move with a low temperature difference that is called the chimney effect. The installation of a Stop Silent Light valve prevents the movement of these gases out of the sewer system.

Street Flooding
Flood walls can prevent street flooding but sometimes the road gullies are still connected to water bodies that allow back flow through the street drainage system. Installation of Stop Silent Light check valves on these gully connections prevent this back flow and ensure that the roads are not flooded.

Inline check-valve for waste water applications

Our Stop Silent Light check-valve system (by Lasso Technik) is a reliable backflow proventer for use in waste water connections. This perfectly airtight valve is designed for the optimal management of faecal and rainwater with a back pressure of up to 0.5 bar. In addition, this high-quality backwater valve also acts as a nose flap (anti-frog). The valve includes a simple and quick installation which is perfectly suited for private applications as well as industrial companies active in water management. This system secures the pipes and is characterised by quick fixing and friction clamping inside the pipe.

Our check-valve: Functionality

By accumulating water up to approximately pipe filling, pressure is exerted on the diaphragm, which then opens upwards. If the flow stops, the sealing lip restores and closes the valve. In back pressure, the rubber membrane is filled and pressed against the pipe wall.
One Minute Installation!

Our check-valve: Installation

The Stop Silent Light® expander clamp can be operated from both sides and allows installation in the inlet or outlet of the inspection shaft.
It can either be installed in existing drainpipes or manholes.

News - Stop Silent Light

A backwater automat with noise and vibration reduction

The constant humming Water streams can cause the sewer system to vibrate. Drainage pipes absorb the movements and propagate them through vertical pipes to inhabited areas. At first, these noises may be barely perceptible. But because of their uninterrupted constancy, they strain the nerves of the inhabitants - especially during ... read more

Case Study: What to do when the electronic check-valve fails?

Conflict between water and electricity: Recent events in the region confirm it: electronic anti-backflow devices are technically sophisticated but do not meet certain requirements. Check valves block water from flowing back into the ground during heavy rains. The current SN59200 standard encourages the installation of electronic check valves. However, recent ... read more

Stop Silent Light - Optimal adaptation to your pipe!

Many users, both private individuals and companies, are looking for a non-return valve that can be installed quickly and easily. Stop Silent Light is available in a size range from 100mm to 300mm in terms of the internal diameter of the tube to be secured. For intermediate sizes, Lasso Technik ... read more

Installation of the backwater flap in the inspection shaft, without structural adjustments!

The introduction of the Stop Silent Light backwater flap in the appropriate duct that you wish to protect against backflow is done with a simple and quick gesture as you can see in our installation video. The scheme below attests to the great capacity of the check valve to be ... read more

No Electronics
One of our clients had an electrical controlled valve. Twice the electronics failed. After this incident, we recommended the Stop Silent Light as this valve acts completely autonomously.

Save Lives
We had problems with frogs and small animals that infiltrate through the overflow into the reservoir. Stop Silent Light also works as a frog flap and saves the lives of many small animals.

No fouling gases
Crawling canals have entered my house through the canal system. After we installed a Stop Silent Light, the problem was fixed reliably.

Express Installation
It was a painful experience when we had the basement twice full of water within a short time. The fastest and most efficient solution to solve the backstroke problem is Stop Silent Light. We were also able to order the valve express so that, it could be installed as quickly as possible.

Easy to Retrofit
Specializing in conversions, it is often the case that the cellar space is converted into a living space. In order to prevent this valuable space from being flooded, we simply install the easy-to-install Stop Silent Light system in the wastewater pipes. Also retrofitting is possible without problems.
