Foot valves with pressure up to 16 bar for non-return protection for pumps

  • Non-return valves
  • Foot valves
Foot valves with pressure up to 16 bar for non-return protection for pumps. Also available as multi-cone valve with flanges for pipe inside diameters from DN150 to DN 1000.

Our technical features of the foot valves

The foot valves of Lasso Technik AG are equipped with a membrane to prevent the back flow of liquids and gases. When the membrane is closed, the noise level is low and water hammer is avoided. The valve guarantees a safe closure even in the case of granular liquids (sandy water). In addition, our foot valves act as raw filters to protect pumps and systems. We guarantee a long product life due to the absence of mechanical or electronic moving parts subject to wear and tear.

Foot valves - Technical data

  • Temperature ranges: -20° to +200°C (no steam)
  • Flow velocity: (Fluids) 2.5 m/sec.
  • Flow velocity: (gases) 15 m/sec
  • Nominal size: from DN 20 to DN 600
  • Aqueous, oily, acidic and basic liquids
  • Nominal pressure: up to 16 bar

Efficient production of coldness with minimal pressure loss

Producing coldness with river water is efficient and economical.

Large quantities of river water must flow through the heat exchanger. Due to these large volumes, it is important to keep the system pressure loss to a minimum in order to maintain high efficiency. The layout of the system and the selection of its various components are an important element when low resistance is required. The Stop Silent multi-cone valve has been designed according to these flows in order to be best adapted to them.

A valve to prevent backflow of liquid and gaseous media.

  • The reliability of the membrane seal is very high
  • Perfect sealing even with granular pollutants (sand)
  • A silent and delicate closing (no water hammer)
  • Low opening pressure
  • No mechanical parts moving, wear-sensitive parts (low maintenance)
  • Farm in environments where mechanical valves would no longer work (glucose, chocolate)
  • Simple and cost-effective installation
  • Good resistance to chemical elements, anticorrosive
  • Also serves as a raw filter (protects pumps and equipment)
  • Ensures correct flow measurement (no incorrect measurement due to backflow)
  • Possibility of installation in many positions

Multi-cone valve - valve body with flanges

From DN 150 to DN1000, welded product resistant to high flow rates. The valve bodies are hot-dip galvanized or coated. The valve cones are made of stainless steel

Diaphragm materials of the foot valves

The Stop Silent foot valves have a diaphragm made of approved materials depending on the application.
Foot valves with silicone diaphragm VMQ:

  • For the food industry and drinking water
  • Cold resistance down to approx. -60°C
  • Hot air temperatures up to +210°C
  • Water temperature up to 100°C
Foot valves with ethylene-propylene-diene rubber diaphragm EPDM:

  • For hot and cold water
  • Suitable for steam sterilization for short periods of time
Foot valves with nitrile rubber diaphragm NBR:

  • for solar technology
  • for thermal cogeneration plants
  • for petrochemistry
Foot valves with a Viton® fluorocarbon membrane:

  • For chemical industry
  • Acid resistant
  • Temperature resistant -20 to +220 °C
Foot valves with a fluorosilicone membrane FVMQ:

  • High or low temperature resistant
  • Weather resistant
  • Ozone resistant
  • Unalterable over time

Installation examples of the foot valves

The membrane is fixed in the perforated support cone and its sealing lip rests on the inner surface of the cone. As the pressure increases, the membrane deforms and allows the fluid to flow. When the pressure drops, the diaphragm returns to its initial position and closes the valve.
