Special technical features of the Stop Silent AS54 type
The type AS54 can be installed quickly and easily between two pipe flanges. There is one variant with and one without a type plate. The space required for this design is minimal. The cone disappears inside the pipe and only the thickness of the flange and the type plate are still visible. It enables simple retrofitting in existing systems or installation in the tightest of spaces.
Another important advantage is the straight flow path of the valve, which enables a flow path with low turbulence.
The Stop Silent AS54 backflow preventer is our most cost-effective backflow preventer solution but is just as reliable.
The cone also acts as a coarse filter and prevents dirt particles and impurities from entering the pump, providing effective protection for the equipment.
The cone is made of stainless steel 1.4404 as standard.
Higher-tempered stainless steels are also available on request. In addition, the AS54 cone globe valve can be provided with a Halar coating on request to make the component more resistant to particularly aggressive media.

With the improved cone generation introduced in 2024, the AS valves have a cross-section that is up to 20% larger thanks to the new hole pattern. As a result, the new generation can further reduce the pressure loss.
Thanks to the cone shape in combination with the membrane, lightly contaminated, sandy as well as pasty and sticky media such as cocoa, molasses or sugar solutions can be processed. The perforation of the cone acts as a coarse filter and protects downstream systems, such as pumps and plants, with minimal space requirements.
