Technical features of the backflow preventer
The ASEA backflow preventer is made of food-safe stainless steel and does not release any harmful substances into the medium flowing through it. Both the cone and the valve body are resistant to acid, chlorine and seawater and are food-safe. This makes the Stop Silent AS valves generally the first choice for sensitive installations that require the highest standards of cleanliness and process reliability.
Both available connection versions have a DN40 cone on the inside.
This increase in cross-section reduces the velocity of the medium, which emphasizes the smooth operation of the valve and reduces pressure loss.

Stop Silent type ASEA - conical diaphragm in the valve body
With the improved cone generation introduced in 2024, the AS valves have a cross-section that is up to 20% larger thanks to the new hole pattern. As a result, the new generation can further reduce the pressure loss.
The cone shape in combination with the membrane makes it possible to process sandy media as well as pasty and sticky media such as cocoa, molasses or sugar solutions. The perforated cone acts as a coarse filter and protects downstream systems such as pumps and systems with a small footprint.
